The network and support group forms the heart and soul of every homeschool community.

You must be especially mindful of the requirements for a high school diploma in the state where you live. There are state and federal websites and agencies which dispense homeschooling information allowing you to tailor a program that meets the requirements for learning. Typically, a homeschooled student will have to take an equivalency test to make sure that they can fit the requirements for the state that they live in. I know someone who did not bother to check out the homeschooling information before they began teaching their kid, and trust me: it was a hassle. The state actually tried to force them to send the student to public school of all things.

Despite not having the resources, facilities, or faculty of a public school, a homeschool is still the best.
